What is the NDIS?
National Disability Insurance Scheme
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a new system organized for the disable people across Australia. The NDIS will support the existing disability services in the country by providing a newer and better approach. The system encompasses not only the disable people but their families and caretakers as well. The newer system ensures that they will have more support and options in terms of what kind of services they receive.

Yes. I live in Australia and I am an Australian citizen or have a Permanent or Special Category Visa. Go to the next question.
No. You may be able to access other supports. The NDIS is only available to:
- People who live in Australia
- Australian citizens
- Permanent Visa holders
- Protected Special Category Visa holders.
